Thanks so much for the quick reply Chris. You know I can't say for sure if it is SP2. The company provided me with a disc and a key to use and that's all I have to go on (The disc says Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2, no mention of service pack). They claim it's the exact same disc and key for the current server which will be decomm'ed when this one goes into service. I can't look at the current server today to confirm (it's across town). In the mean time I will down load the iso of the Build and Update and give that a shot. I also have a call into the original developer of the company's custom built application that they say needs to reside on WIN2003. I am curious what is so special about the app that it NEEDS to be on WIN2003, Again thank you, will post an update later today or tomorrow with the results.
