From time to time I get called to help out with IT work at a local HVAC company, and they asked me to setup a new server to replace an older server that was having intermittent motherboard issues issues. They have some custom built apps that require the WIN2003 OS. I recommended Dell and told them to talk to sales and have them suggest a server that will support WIN2003. The server is for a small section in the company which only has 6 clients and requires minimal disk storage space. The sales rep sold them a Poweredge T310. Over this past weekend I attempted to install WIN2003 R2 Enterprise edition. The Server Management disk does NOT have 2003 as an option to set up that OS. The BIOS Tools and Utilities does NOT have an option for 2003. So I tried downloading the SAS6 driver from the Dell web site put it on a floppy and attached a USB floppy drive and used the Original MS WIN2003 disk with the F6 option during the install and all is well it loads the driver and finds the SAS6 and finds the RAID 1 mirror volume. It formats the volume and then when it goes to install windows files it asks for the SAS6 driver disk (which is still in the floppy drive) but never finds the driver. I am stuck here can someone help with this issue?
Thanks
Have a great day
Jim
