Hi,
I had the same experience as the T110
I am trying to install Windows Server 2012R2 on a PowerEdge T310 II that I just purchased. No software and driver utility disks came with the computer! I bought it at auction with no OS.
When I try to install Windows straight from the OS Install disk it tells me that some drivers are missing however it does not list any specific ones missing to know what is lacking! The message reads: "A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or hard drive disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now...."
Now thanks to your forum I saved a lot of time. I read about the S100 problem (the solution of the driver for Server 2008. Problem was not seeing the cd-rom. It is the old Hardware Compatibility List HCL. Certain hardware is supported by Microsoft for each version.
I then followed Upgrade to Microsoft Windows Server suggestion
Note: No data is migrated and this is not a replacement of PERC S100 solution. Data needs to be backed up before following the below steps.
1. Power on the server and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings.
2. Enter the BIOS setup -> SATA settings option and change it to ATA or ACHI mode whichever is available. Refer Figure 1. Done
3. Save and Exit the setup.
4. Boot from the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 DVD and complete the installation.

I could then see the cd-rom.I tried the S100 driver and then tried the 5.2G of drivers from Dell. The computer scanned the drive and found no drivers. I checked on other computer to see if on cd/dvd, looks ok.
Any Poweredge owners with same problem of getting the computer to spot the driver? They are unzipped.
Thanks
